A very faithful couple, Tom and Lois, who have seen many trials in life are now in need of prayer, as they enter yet another faith-testing occasion (as St. Paul says in Rm.5:3) to "boast of (their) afflictions".
Tom, who has survived cancer and other life-threatening illnesses on multiple occasions spread across decades, has again been diagnosed with cancer. As members of Christ's Body, let us bear this burden with and for Tom and Lois by lifting them in prayer (along with so many others undergoing such trials) for this trial to yet again "produce perseverance... proven character... and hope, which does not disappoint".
A special website link was created to keep all concerned up to date on Tom's condition.

One has to register personally in order to sign CaringBridge guestbooks, and so I didn't comment there, but if you see either one, please tell them someone in the Northeast is also praying for them. Poor Tom--what consistent horrendous suffering and struggle, and poor Lois, she's in the Mary spot--almost helpless to help but utterly crucial. I'll remember them today during Tom's surgeon's 11:30 am appointment, and through Lent. Thank you for bringing this out, Greg.

By the way, today I think I saw Lois' email on that CB visit page. And what awful news there is for poor Tom and her. The body is finite, but thank God we aren't..
God bless you, Carol, for following the Pauline exhortation to "bear one another's burdens". You are a true sister in Christ, and I will relate your consoling message to Tom & Lois. --- in Christ's peace, Greg
